These are my sons, and they are why I began working with wood. "Dad, do you think you could make us some swords, out of wood?" So of course I had to try. Using a jigsaw I got from my grandpa after he had passed and some scrap wood I had from tearing down a wall, we got to work. They designed them, and I cut them out. Never did I think that many years later I would be making so much more than swords in the backyard.
My amazing wife (shown on left), who has spoiled me with all the tools and inspiration that I need to make all of this possible. Without her encouragement and support, I could not have done any of this. She is also the one who has spent long hours helping take all the photos and getting them posted to all the sites.
This would be my daughter (pictured on right), who has helped me by believing that I could make anything and always had another project that she wanted me to make for her. To keep me in practice, my daughter has been more than happy to supply a variety of project ideas, the coffin bookshelf being a memorable example.
This is a photo of me and my mother at the beach. She is my biggest fan. If you need proof, then just look around her house, it looks like an art gallery with exclusively my art on display seeing it as more than just a hobby. She's also the one who has helped encourge me at times when I thought of giving up.
I chose all of the above photos from 2014 since this was when my obsession with wood began. Also, the kids are much more embarrassed by older photos.
Just us, making memories
